SCENE 01 / MULTI CAMERA SETUPS
Multi-Camera Setups
Professional live event coverage and multi-camera production across Australia.
Multi-camera setups deploy two or more cameras simultaneously to capture comprehensive coverage of scenes, events, or performances. From the Sydney Opera House to Melbourne's iconic concert venues and Gold Coast broadcast facilities, this approach maximizes shooting efficiency, preserves performance continuity, and provides editors with multiple angles from each take.
We coordinate multi-camera configurations with matched camera bodies, synchronized settings, and integrated monitoring systems across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. Our team works regularly with the broadcast infrastructure around Fox Studios Australia and Village Roadshow Studios, giving directors comprehensive coverage and editors the flexibility to craft compelling sequences.

Multi-Camera Setups for Australian Sport, Concert, and Studio
Here is how this works in practice. Our multi-camera setups across Australia field 6-16 camera live broadcast and recorded packages with Sony HDC-3500 system cameras, Grass Valley LDX 100, Panasonic AK-UC4000, and ARRI Alexa Mini LF for cinematic A-units, fibre-tethered through NEP Australia and Gravity Media OB trucks (the country's two dominant outside broadcast vendors).
Here is the short of it. Standard event coverage includes Sydney Mardi Gras (Feb-Mar — world's largest LGBTQ+ celebration in the Southern Hemisphere), Vivid Sydney (May-June light festival drawing 3M+ visitors), the Royal Easter Show Sydney, the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse (first Tuesday of November), the Australian Open at Melbourne Park (800K+ attendance each January), the F1 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, AFL Grand Finals at the MCG (100K-capacity largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere), NRL Grand Finals at Allianz Stadium Sydney, the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, and the Bathurst 1000 Supercars Championship at Mount Panorama.
Here is the breakdown. Concert and festival multi-cam covers Splendour in the Grass Byron Bay (annual July), Bluesfest Easter, Falls Festival, Laneway Festival, and the major Australian touring market in Sydney and Melbourne arenas. Studio multi-cam runs out of Disney Studios Australia Sydney and Village Roadshow Gold Coast for talk shows, panel shows, and broadcast drama.
Here is what that looks like on the ground. The Australian broadcast heritage runs from the 1956 Melbourne Olympics through the Sydney 2000 Games, the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and the 2006 and 2018 Commonwealth Games (Melbourne and Gold Coast), building deep multi-cam skill across Seven, Nine, Ten, ABC, SBS, Fox Sports, and Kayo. We set up ACMA wireless frequency licensing, venue authority approvals through Venues NSW, Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust, and Stadiums Queensland, MEAA crew agreements with reciprocal IATSE/SAG-AFTRA recognition for global productions, and APRA AMCOS music licensing.
FAQ
Live Production Expertise
How many cameras can you deploy?
We regularly operate setups from 3 to 12+ cameras depending on event scale. For major concerts and broadcasts at venues like Qudos Bank Arena or Marvel Stadium, we can deploy extensive camera packages including specialty positions like jibs, roving cameras, and POV units.
Do you provide live switching and direction?
Yes, our multi-camera packages include experienced vision mixers and directors who switch between cameras in real-time, creating a polished live edit. We can deliver a switched program feed, ISO recordings, or both.
Can you live stream our event?
Yes, we provide complete live streaming services including encoding, CDN delivery, and platform management for YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or custom platforms. We can also provide satellite uplink for broadcast.
What about IMAG for live audiences?
We provide IMAG (Image Magnification) services for concerts and events, feeding live camera coverage to venue screens so audiences can see close-ups of performers and speakers.
Do you have OB van facilities?
We work with professional OB (Outside Broadcast) vans equipped with switching desks, monitoring, audio mixing, and all necessary infrastructure. Our partner OB units regularly cover major events across Australia's eastern seaboard.
How far in advance should we book?
For major events, we recommend booking 4-6 weeks ahead to ensure equipment availability and proper planning. Smaller multi-camera shoots can often be arranged with 1-2 weeks notice.
